Abstract

The purpose of this study is to propose a simple analysis method for thermal stress problems in concrete, compatibility condition of thermoelastic body in plane strain state was clarified. Using compatibility condition a fourth-order partial differential equation expressing the stress state with temperature is derived. This partial differential equation can be expressed separately as an elliptical and parabolic partial differential equation with temperature as an unknown term. Summing up each solution, the stress state and volumetric strain of the thermoelastic body can be evaluated.
