Abstract
This report describes on the construction data of the beacon with the heavy weight concrete ; the first attempt in JAPAN ; at ONAGAISO. This concrete structure requires two necessary conditions in order to resist the strong wave and wind as follows ;
1) 28 days compressive strength is 180 kg/cm22) specific gravity is over 3.5
These conditions are the first requirement on the heavy weight concrete, so we had laboratory tests to establish the method from Design to Construction. This is the main theme in this report.
We adopt the prepacked concrete (PREPAKT CONCRETE) which is popular to build the heavy weight concrete structure. The volume of concrete grouted on land plant is 160 m3 and after 110 m3 is grouted on the sea from the equipped ship. And now it is easy to secure the ship course and to keep the lighting.
