Abstract
There are many acidic hot springs along the proporsed route, Kyushu Crossing Expressway, especially in Beppu city. We carried out the series of corrosion test of concrete in three hot spring tanks and one place of acidic soil surrounding (include H2S gas). About four hundred pieces of cylindrical (φ 15×30 cm) and prism (10×10×80 cm) specimens were made for the test. The degree of concrete corrosion was judged by next tests, surface observation, loss in weight, erosion depth, compressive strength, dynamic modulus of elasticity, rust of reinforcement. This report sammarizes the results of these tests for a year.
