The Draft of the Revision for Seismic Design Method of Building Standard Law and Reinforced Concrete Construction

Abstract

This report explains the contents of the draft of the revision for seismic design regulations which will be enforced in the near future. These are that the objective design criteria of the current law and the revision draft are not differrent so much from each other, and that secondary design prosedure which is mainly discussion on bearing horizontal capacity is proposed as a new regulation.
Further, several items related to calculation method for bearing capacity and to method to decide structural deformation ability which are appointed out as problems of the draft are explained stressing on reinfored concrete construction.
