Abstract
Many reinforced concrete structures are now constructed everyday. But, for a matter of regret, several buildings have some defects in its structure. In this paper, such defect is picked up and the points of structural design and construction are interpreted. The content has five chapters as follow. (1) Defect of foundation work; lack of bearing capacity of soil or pile, design of sheathing and retaining wall settlement of first floor slab, (2) Defect of cantilevered structure; corner design of cantilevered slab, cantilevered slab with concrete handrail on its top end, landing of R. C. outdoor stair, long spanned cantilevered beam, (3) Defect of slab; cracking, deflection and vibration hazard of long spanned slab, (4) Defect of beam; beam of two small section, cracking of beam, through hole and reinforcement of beam, (5) Defect of column; shearing reinforcement of column, reinforcement of corner columns, reinforcing bar's detail of panel zone (crossing of columns' bars and beams' bars)
