Abstract
This paper describes the outline of the shear transfer mechanisms across cracks. Also, some design formulas applicable to the estimation of shear transfer capacity are introduced. In the last part of the paper a method is presented to evaluate shear transfer stiffness in cracked reinforced concrete.
