Abstract
The diaphragm wall, which was introduced from abroad, has been chiefly used for constructing sheathing wall. Nowadays, the extend of its use spreads widely and the amount of works is on the increase all the more. So after referring to the process of development of diaphragm walls, this report describes the tendency of its use for some constructions such as a sheathing wall of a large scale, a foundation of structure, a round shaft and so on. At the same time, the trend of the research and development of the method of concrete placing in sulary, the method of Prestressing, the method of using pre-cast concrete plates and so on is also introduced in this report.
