Recent Developments of Underwater Concreting

Abstract

The qualities of underwater concrete depend largely on the construction processes of underwater concreting. The authors explained the main points of the construction processes based on the review. Recently, some innovations of underwater concrete have been energetically carried out, and the newly developed concrete or concreting methods has made a epoch in the field of underwater concreting. The paper introduced and explained the new concrete or methods. Furthermore, the water pollution occurred at the stage of underwater concreting was discussed and the countermeasure toward that problem was suggested.
