Concrete Structures in Urban Fires

Abstract

The main point of this paper would be focused on the role of concrete structures against a disastrous urban fire. Japan has suffered from many kinds of conflagrations. The reason why the Japanese, even now, allow to build houses with wood, would be profoundly difficult to explain, because this should have to find a complicated way of Japanese culture. The development of concrete structures, however, will give a sort of solution as the author mentions here.
