Abstract

The light-weight prestressed concrete barge equiped a concrete batcher plant (150m³/h) was built for the construction of northen and southerm Bisan Seto Bridges between Honshu (Kojima) and Shikoku (Sakaide). At the present time it has been used to construct the over-sea portion of“4 A-anchorage”, which is a 250000 m3 concrete structure for anchoring main cables of the suspension bridges. This report shows the summary of design and construction of the prestressed concrete barge.
