Tama River and Kawasaki Fairway tunnels in Expressway Bay-shore Route is constructed with submerged tunneling method. As for the elements of these tunnels, eleven of twenty-one elements are now being prefabricated in the dry-dock. This report presents the quality control and crack-control, such as mix proportion and pre-cooling of the concrete, in the prefabrication of the elements.
