Abstract

This report is the construction record of Joushi Bridge which is located in Sado island of Niigata prefecture. This bridge is constructed by new construction method which is named “CLCA Method” (Concrete Lapping method with pre-erected Composite Arch). This method is to construct the concrete arch rib using steel tube in which the concrete is filled, as the embedded type of arch centre. Using this construction method it can be possible to reduce the steel material because of high strength against axial force compared with Arch Centre Method and Melan Arch Method. Joushi Bridge Project adopted this construction method, and it saved the project costs and was helpful to execute the project safely and easily. Now, we report about the execution of arch rib construction of Joushi Bridge.
