Abstract
The main tower of the bridge is designed to aptly high strength concrete (σck=600kgf/cm2).The concrete is pumped up to the tower which finally reaches to appx. 80 m in height. New type of superplasticizer is used in oder to obtain enough workability to pumping up; and unit weight of water is reduced to 135 kg/m3 as a result. From the viewpoint of construction, there are two main important factors to success. First is to control the quality of high strength concrete by using superplasticizer, and second is to make certain of pumpability of such concrete. This paper reports the concrete quality and the results of measurements which obtained from actual construction.
