Abstract
Composite structures have excellent structural performance, and the rationalization of their construction has been attempted, and then these structures have been applied to many buildings. But the composite structures have many problems concerning their fire resistance. This report introduces the legal regulation, the administrative measures, the test methods in order to confirm the performance, the methods of rational calculation and the examples of application etc. with regard to the fire resistance of composite structures. “The legal regulation” is composed of the actual approved methods in the Building Standard Law, the Enforcement Order and the Notification. “The fire-resistant test methods” is composed of their stories and contents. “The examples of the fire-resistant tests” deals with each composite member and the composite frames. “The examples of application” deals with the composite columns and floors. And then the actual conditions regarding the fire resistance of composite structures were introduced.
