Abstract
Unazuki Dam is a 97 m high concrete gravity dam which is being constructed at Kurobe River by the Ministry of Construction. Precast segments are adopted to all galleries in the dam for the first time in Japan. Model tests were conducted in order to confirm the structural integrity and safety of the precast galleries and concrete of the dam body. 67 precast segments have been already installed in the concrete dam and the efficient construction work with less labours are proved.
