Abstract
On the temporary restoration work of railway bridge hit by a Great Hanshin Earthquake, steel pipe piles were placed to the track on embankment and then the pedestals for temporary pre-cast concrete girder was set on the piles, aiming at hastening to restart running of train. On the permanent restoration work, RC pier including the steel pipes, which used at the temporary restoration work, as a part of reinforcing steels was constructed. The RC pier including the steel pipes was designed by critical state design method with dynamic analysis. And model experiment of the pier reduced a scale of 1 to 5.75 was carried out to confirm the deformation efficiency of the pier. While, on the construction work, adhesion of joint and excellent compactability were required, because of the inverted concrete was placed. Therefore, self-compacting concrete was applied to stud of the pier. The selfcompacting concrete of 1000 m3 was placed to the 18 studs, and the construction of these studs were finished during 3 months and a half.
