Splitting Bond Failure in Reinforced Concrete Members

Abstract

Many researches on splitting bond failure in R/C members have been conducted in these ten years. In this report, the findings obtained in the studies, especially on bond strength in high strength concrete, were reviewed and bond strength equations which were adopted in several design guidelines were examined comparatively. Future research needs to establish more rational bond design method were pointed out.
