State-of-the-Art Report on External Prestressed Concrete Bridge with Large Eccentricity

Abstract

New types of external prestressed concrete bridge with large eccentricity have been recently developed. They are called extradosed PC bridge, PC bridge with subtended stay cables, self-anchored suspended bridge and external PC truss bridge with large eccentricity. Some actual bridges mentioned above have been already erected. This paper describes the basic concept and features of such bridges and introduces some actual bridges.
