Abstract
It is necessary to continue studies on the durability of concrete under marine environment, because our knowledge on the problem is not enough. In order to make the future studies more efficient, it is very important to rearrange the present knowledge obtained from numerous previous experiments, to be accessible to many reseachers.
In this paper, several principle knowledge about long-term performance of concrete under marine environment obtained from long-term exposure test continued more than 30 years at the Port and Harbour Research Institute is summarized. Futhermore, the importance of long-term exposure test is discussed.
