Abstract
Recently, the construction of highrise R/C buildings have been conducted under the condition of small sites in urban area. In such a case, it is difficult to set up a tower crane at the best location outside of a building. In the constructions of steel buildings, it is popular to use a climbing tower crane with a base fixed in a building, but it is hardly adopted for R /C buildings because the temporary reinforcing for the beams is necessary below the crane base. The authors developed the construction method without the temporary reinforcing for R/C buildings. The results of full scale loading tests and survey of cracks-on girders are reported in this papers.
