Outline of Recommendation for Concrete Repair and Surface Protection of Concrete Structures by JSCE

Abstract

This paper explain a summary of “Recommendation for Concrete Repair and Surface Protection of Concrete Structures”, Concrete Library 119, published by Japan Society of Civil Engineering in April 2005. In this recommendation, the principle approach is indicated for the application of the concrete repair and surface protection which includes four methods of organic surface coating, inorganic surface coating, surface penetrate and patching repair. The design and construction technique and the maintenance methods of those four methods mentioned above are described in “Manuals for Concrete Repair and Surface Protection Method of Concrete Structures”. In this report, case examples from concrete repair and surface protection method of concrete structures is presented in addition to the outline of recommendation.
