The Measuring Method of Embedded Length of Bar on Mechanically Coupled Splice by Ultrasonic (proposal) -as Described in NAKS 0003 of the Japan Pressure Welding Society

Abstract

The performance of splices of reinforcement, such as strength, is very important in reinforced concrete structure, and it is necessary to establish the inspection method to confirm the quality of splices. However, there had no inspection method for mechanically coupled splice. The inspection methods for various splices of reinforcement have been being examined by Japan Pressure Welding Society. Japan Pressure Welding Society Standard “NAKS 0003” of the Measuring Method of Embedded Length of Bar on Mechanically Coupled Splice by Ultrasonic (proposal) was established in June of 2006. We'd like to introduce the subjects considered in its institution process and the outline of this standard in this paper.
