Abstract
This article reviewed studies on groups for parents of children not attending school in Japan and discussed future tasks. The studies were searched from 1990 to 2010 in databases “MAGAZINEPLUS” and “CiNii”. Fifty-three studies were classified into three categories by study approach: 1) Research with inventory surveys or interviews, 2) Practical studies with group practices by each author, and 3) Others based on only literature and documents. By examining the trends of 1) and 2), this article pointed out the necessity of a) clarifying the relationship between studies, and b) devices to understand the change of participants and their family.
