Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between school adjustment and school morale, and to consider support for school adjustment among the senior high school students from the viewpoint of school type and school morale. Participants were 2,519 students of prefecture high schools. Senior high schools were classified into three types: high level school, middle level school, low level school by the percentage of students who advance to higher stage of college. MANOVA revealed that school morale scores differed by school type. Partial correlation analysis showed that the relationship between “Approved” as a Classmate”, “Infringed and Maladjustment” and factors of school morale related of school showed a variety results. These results suggested that consideration of support for school adjustment should be done according to the school type.
