This paper explores the ways in which support local authorities, clients and developers to improve their development projects that form urban amenity and living environment. Particularly it is looking at design guiding and review system implemented by the Commission for Architecture and Built Environment (CABE) in UK. CABE has supported to bring good designed developments through their services, such as enabling, design reviewing, education and researching. Through the hearing research with members in CABE and the case studies, this paper demonstrates CABE's timely, seamless and experienced supports into processes of developing projects have assiated to improve project schemes and resulted to deliver good living environment.
