A study on the location tendency and formation process of foreigner’s Vacation rental in Osaka Prefecture

Abstract

Recently with the increasing number of foreign visitors. The vacation rental business is developing quickly. We noticed that some foreigners who live in Japan finding the empty house in order to start the vacation rental business. This research clarified the location tendency and formation process of foreigners’ vacation rental business. the most vacation rental located in downtown of Osaka, another place is Izumisano city and the city adjacent to Osaka. Furthermore, there is no special difficulties for foreigners to get real estate and license for vacation rental. Vacation rental business can prevent the empty house problem in Japan, and it might be helpful for pushing the area’s economic and the communication with different cultures.
