Abstract
The purpose of this study was to clarify difficulty on life, and support needs of mothers of infants and toddlers with medical care. Nine mothers who had children (1-6-years-old) with medical care were interviewed about daily life and support needs. It was found that mothers felt difficulty related to medical care, disease, social life, and siblings. The supports that mothers needed were services such as the temporary childcare when they could not cope in families. In addition, the information about the welfare service, group childcare and elementary schools were required. The findings of the interviews demonstrated the need of system concerning continuous support to the individual family, related to the needs of continuation of the stable medical care, and the needs with development of children.
