Abstract
The complete larval development of the poisonous crab Atergatis floridus (Linnaeus, 1767) is described and illustrated, based on laboratoryreared material. The larval development consists of four zoeal and one megalopal stage. The morphological characters of the larvae ofA. floridus are compared with those of Zosimus and Lophozozymus species, and generic diagnostic larval characters are identified.
