Serpentinized peridotite is an ultramafic rock that intrudes as diapiric bodies along the principal fault zones of central Cebu. The clay fraction of the four weathered materials were exammined by means of XRD DTA TG IR SEM and EDX. Experimentation results that the weathered specimens are polymineralic and could be possibly differentiated into two distinct asseblages. These two assemblages appear to interpret the weathering reaction stages that the primary serpentinized peridotite rock had undergone.
