Abstract
Zeolite A compacts were directly prepared from allophane compacts through hydrothermal reaction in NaOH solution, the synthesis conditions of which have an influence on the crystal size. The crystal size decreased and the rate of formation increased with increasing concentration of NaOH solution. The rise of reaction temperature resulted in an increase in the crystal size and the rate of formation. A space between crystals in a zeolite A compact formed macro pore which has narrow distribution. The diameter of macro pore linearly increased with an increase in the crystal size of zeolite A.
