Abstract
We investigated the complexes formed by cationic porphyrins and synthetic clay Saponite. The porphyrin molecules adsorbed on the clay surfaces with high density without aggregation to 100% vs.CEC, when the difference was matching between the inner-cationic charge distance in the porphyrin molcule and the inner-anionic charge distance on the clay surface.
In this research, Layered double hydroxides ,LDHs which have the anion exchangeable capacity, were synthesized and the adsorption behavior of anionic porphyrins on LDHs surface was studied.
