Preparation of hybrid films of highly fluorescent Iridium(III) complexes with clay minerals

Abstract

Highly fluorescent amphiphilic Ir(III)complexes were prepared. A thin hybrid film of Ir(III) complex and saponite clay was prepared by the Langmuir-Blodgett method. The film was used as a sensor of gases by mentoring fluorescence intensity.
