Abstract
Various investigations have been conducted concerning alternatives to brominated flame retardants commonly used for plastics. Metal hydroxides are among these candidates. Flame retardant characteristics of layered double hydroxide (LDH), which originate from metal hydroxides, are therefore promising. This study aimed at nanoscale dispersion of LDH in polymer. In the presentation, properties of polymer-LDH composites will be reported.
