Abstract
We describe a topochemical synthetic approach to well-crystallized layered double hydroxides (LDHs) based on various combination of di- and tri-valent transition-metal elements (M2+-M3+) such as Co2+-Fe3+, Co2+-Co3+ and Ni2+-Co3+. Furthermore, LDHs were successfully exfoliated in formamide to obtain unilamellar nanosheets.
