Abstract
Cationic cyclometalated iridium(III) complex, [Ir(ppy)2(bpy)] (ppy = 2-phenylpyridine; bpy = 2,2`-bipyridine), was adsorbed by synthetic saponite. The quenching effect by chiral molecules was investigated on the luminescence intensity from the ion-exchange adducts.
