Abstract
The authors have done the research and development of a composite material for hydrogen tanks. It is a multilayered material alternatively laminating high-gas barrier clay films developed by AIST and carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) layers. The material is used as the resin liner of the lightweight hydrogen tank. In this report, it introduces hydrogen barrier property of the clay film-CFRP composite material. Additionally, it reports concerning the manufacture process of the high pressure hydrogen tank for fuel cell car.
