Effects of polyamide monomers on an absorption of CO_2 followed by precipitation of CaCO_3 were studied. Although neutral monomers of polyamide, such as ε-caprolactam, absorbed only a little amount CO_2, they have an ability to promoted an reaction with Ca-<2+> to form CaCO_3 crystals in aqueous systems.
