Safety training is indispensable for students who are starting research activities and newly appointed faculty members, but the implementation status differs depending on the university and department. In recent years, as the number of international students has increased, English support has also been required, which increases the burden on staff. Therefore, we have developed electronic learning materials for safety training on chemicals, liquid waste, and high-pressure gas for students who are starting research activities. The contents are based on common issues such as hazards, safety precautions, and compliance with laws and regulations that should be known when handling these substances so that it can be used both inside and outside the university. In order to provide effective learning contents, the target audience was divided into students and faculty members, and in this project, the learning materials for students were created. The emphasis was placed on the experimental work, and the legal matters were limited to what the students themselves should deal with. Moreover, experiment videos were inserted to visually demonstrate the hazards. Most of the experiment videos were newly created so that they can be used without being aware of the Copyright Act.
