Abstract

In planning facial crown of the front tooth, roentgenographic examination are recommended as an aid to determine the site of the pulp horn to avoid the perforation by preparation.
The roentgenographic demonstrability of pulp horn, however, is not always satisfied caused by the covering enamel as the highly radiopaque substance and tooth crown structure.
180 extracted incisors were examined how to be able to get more accurate image of pulp horn.
The roentgenogram of the tooth which grinded off the enamel revealed more accurate shape of the pulp horn compare with pre-grinded one, also it was presented almost the same shape and relative size compare with the actual pulp cavity reveals on the transparent specimens of the teeth permeated with India ink.
