Abstract

Case 1 is a 75-year-old man with a history of chemoradiotherapy for oropharyngeal cancer. Case 2 is a 51-year-old woman with a history of chemoradiotherapy for right breast cancer. Case 3 is a 66-year-old woman with a history of chemotherapy for right breast cancer. All three patients presented with multiple erythematous nodules on their bodies; the lesions were diagnosed as poroma by biopsy. Poromatosis is characterized by the development of multiple poromas of unknown etiology. Previous reports have identified the YAP1-MAML2 fusion gene in tumor cells; this mutaion was also detected in our cases. The involvement of DNA repair mechanisms is hypothesized to be the underlying cause for the development of poromatosis. In this report, we present our cases with some relevant literature-based discussion.
