Abstract

Serious games are designed for learning. There are cases where playing ordinary games can also be a learning experience, but these cases are not clear. Therefore, we conducted a qualitative survey on games that were played to learn, and analyzed the differences by gender. The results suggested that males tend to acquire knowledge through play, while females tend to improve their motivation to learn outside of play.
