Abstract
This study examines the impact of animation in game user interfaces on players' shortterm memory performance. The
experiment was conducted using a custom-developed item placement mini-game. Participants were required to memorize the
arrangement of six items and reproduce their positions. Subsequently, different UI animation effects were presented, followed by a
test of memory retention from the mini-game task. Through this methodology, we performed a comparative analysis to determine
whether variations in UI presentation effects result in differences in players' memory retention rates.
