Abstract
A study was made on the removing of N, P_2O_5 and K_2O from the rice plant in pot by the leaching of rain. The results of this experiments showed that leached constituents increased their amount with growth of plant, namely, at the period when the plant was still green the leached amount was small or negligible, but at the later period when the plant attained its maturity the amount became larger, percentage of the leached amount to the absorbed of each constituents were as follows : N 5.3%; P_2O_5 13.0%; K_2O 35.8% The most part of leached constituents was observed to be leached from the dead leaves and sheaths and not from the stems.
