Twenty-seven soil samples have been examined for their arsenic contents. Arsenic were found in all the soils examined. The limiting quantities found were : total arsenic, 8.0 to 51.3 p.p.m; water soluble arsenic, 0.03 to 3.36 p.p.m. There were no correlation between the contents of the arsenic (both total and soluble) and colloidal clay.
