Companies are required to contribute to solving social and environmental issues as socially responsible investment and ESG investment are becoming more widespread. In this situation, partnership with the social sector would be a key for companies to achieve both profit-making and problem-solving. The purpose of this study is to verify how strategic and effective corporate NGO/NPO partnerships in Japan are compared with other countries’ cases. This research will reveal the difference in NGO/NPO - corporate partnership in Japan, the UK, and the USA, in terms of (1) how NGOs / NPOs are considered, and (2) what kinds of partnerships they are working. With text-mining of corporate reports and classification of the partnership, corporate - NGO/NPO partnership in Japan can be superficial relationship compared to other two countries.
