Time-resolved infrared spectroscopic studies on surface and bulk dynamics of LC cell

Abstract

Electric-field-induced reorientation dynamics of LC cell are measured by time-resolved infrared spectroscopy. The surface and bulk dynamic behaviours are discussed qualitatively and quantitatively, based on the extent of adsorption-desorption of impurities on the polyimide layer and the amount of impurities.
