Abstract
We have already investigated the temperature dependence of physical constants of fluorinated phenylbicyclohexane (PBC)compounds. The PBC compound with a para-cyano substituent in benzene ring exhibits a larger splay elastic constant than the PBC compound with a para-fluorine and para-hydrogen substituents. In this time, we have shown a direct method to measure twist elastic constant and also investigated the temperature dependence of the twist elastic constant K_<22> for the fluorinated PBC compounds. Larger twist elastic constants with a para-cyano substituent material were obtained.
