Abstract

It was tried to induce the pretilt angle on the polyimide layer with AFM nano-rubbing, which was proved to align liquid crystal uniformly. The pretilt angle occurred with the uni-directional scanning of AFM. The pretilt angle supposed to be proportional to the density of the scanning. The tilting direction was the same to the scanning.
