Abstract
We describe optical retardation film using new composite material consisting of photo-cross linkable polymer liquid crystal (PLC) and photoreactive monomer. The three dimensional alignment of the mesogenic groups was achieved by irradiation with slantwise linearly polarized ultraviolet (LPUV) light and subsequent annealing. The angle of the molecular orientation is controlled by changing the exposure angle.
