SP1 Progress Toword High Performance Liquid Crystal Displays

Abstract

Liquid crystal Displays (LCDs) have remarkably progressed in information contents, contrast, resolution and viewing angle. Power consumption and response speed are also being improved. Recent attempt is to develop high quality reflective color LCDs, field sequential color LCDs and large size LCDs. In this paper, these trends and future prospects are reviewed.
